Sur le récif, 2022

  • 2400 $

This lamp was made in September 2022 in the studio of Arthur Ristor, a contemporary artist designer, specializing in making objects using the Tiffany stained glass technique. For this object, the designer combined two techniques: that of Tiffany stained glass for the lampshade, mixing pieces of colored glass, glass paste but also shards of glass bottles, giving more random, more rounded shapes. As for the lower part, it is essentially in varnished mortar encrusted with pieces of glass and glass paste. It is an object that strives to use all the scraps produced in the workshop. _ Arthur Ristor is an artist designer based in Paris who, after almost 3 years as an assistant to designer Eric Schmitt, started his own business in 2020. He quickly turned to two techniques, Tiffany stained glass and felted wool, both of which offer an almost infinite range of colors, color being the essential material in Arthur Ristor's work. Since then, he has had the opportunity to exhibit his work at the Collectible in Brussels, at Alcova in Milan, but also at the various editions of Paris Design Week since 2020 and has rugs published at Nodus rug in Italy. His practice evolves day by day and is in perpetual reflection around the object, the color and the Tiffany technique.
