Ebtesam Saleh

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Ebtesam Saleh is a Saudi contemporary artist based in Riyadh. Her practice explores the relationship between material, origin, memory, and place through stone, metal, timber, and industrial materials. Rather than approaching materials as neutral mediums, she investigates their histories, transformations, and the ways they can be understood beyond the functions assigned to them. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Sculpture) from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Her current research expands this inquiry through industrial processes, particularly welding, investigating how the weld seam can shift from a concealed structural element into an autonomous visual language. Saleh has participated in major art platforms and public art projects, including Noor Riyadh (2024), Misk Art Week, the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium (2025), the Al-Namas International Sculpture Symposium (2025), and Riyadh Art Week (2025).
