Fahad Al-Naymah was born in Riyadh, in 1978 and began his artistic career at the age of 20. A self-taught artist, he began with simple sketches of his environment, which greatly influenced his earlier pieces, drawing camels, goats, palm trees, Bedouins and other facets of the desert habitat. He portrays camels in an abstracted manner that reflects its significance in our desert heritage. Al Naymah represented the Kingdom of Saudi in the first GCC forum of Contemporary Art Union in Qatar 2015 and also in Bahrain 2009. He participated in a number of national and international exhibitions, most notably Al Janaderiyah Festival, Al Safeer Exhibition for Contemporary Art, Beyond the Dunes Exhibition in Dar Al Funoon Gallery in Kuwait in 2017. His participation with Artist Talal Alzaid in “Flow” exhibition that took place at Misk Art Fair in 2019. His works was also acquired by various bodies in a number of countries, such as the Green Box Museum of Contemporary Art, Holland, The Saudi Embassy in Canada, and The Saudi Embassy in Austria, Banque Saudi Fransi, Saudi American Bank and many more, Artist Fahad Al-Naymah won a number of awards, the most important of which are; First Prize, Architectural Heritage Contest, Second Prize, King Abdulaziz Camel Festival Competition.
