Born in Latakia in 1956, Mustafa Ali is Syria’s foremost sculptor trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Syria and in Carrara, Italy, his artworks have been largely collected in the Arab world for nearly three decades. Ali approaches local civilization and western modernism to create elegant, monumental sculptures that pierce the consciousness and entice the fragility of humankind.
